AirPods Pro vs. Beats Fit Pro

The Beats Fit Pro were released on 1st November 2021 for $199, while the new AirPods Pro came out on 23rd September 2022 for the same price. Keep reading this article for a detailed comparison.

EarBuds Design

The design of the Beats Fit Pro is similar to other earbuds. However, there is a distinctive feature in the design of these earphones which is the wingtip. The wingtip is large and it hooks onto the inside of the ear which provides stability, especially when using these earbuds during intense workouts. The wingtip is made up of silicon rubber to be as comfortable to the user as can be.

The Beats Fit Pro come in four color options; Beats Black, Beats White, Stone Purple, and Sage Gray.

The AirPods Pro have a great design. The ear-tips are soft and make the earbuds stable so that they don’t fall off. Apple has also introduced the XS (extra small) ear-tip size for users with small ear canals who were uncomfortable with the first-generation’s larger ear-tips. 

The earbuds are equipped with skin detection sensors instead of the proximity sensors, which were used in the older versions. An H2 chip is installed in the new AirPods Pro, which allows for faster connectivity.

The case for the Beats Fit Pro is smaller and more compact compared to other Beats earbuds, and it uses USB C for charging.

The case of the AirPods Pro is simple but it has many features. First of all, it has a lanyard port on the side which allows you to attach a lanyard strap to your Airpods. This lets you to easily attach your Airpods to your backpack or keychain without the fear of losing them.

The AirPods Pro case has a speaker at the bottom, which allows it to signal the users when the Airpods are pairing. The case is also IPX4 water-resistant.

The Beats Fit Pro are equipped with a 9.5-millimeter driver, which gives them excellent sound quality and clarity, along with a punchy bass. These earphones also have adaptive eq, which avoids distortions at higher volumes.

The AirPods Pro also have superb sound quality. They carry over all the good qualities of the older AirPods Pro while adding great new features such as the punchier bass. The sound quality on these Airpods is also improved through Active Noise Cancellation.

Touch Controls

The Beats Fit Pro’s touch controls are easy to use and soft to the touch. They can be used to control music playback, answer/deny calls, control active noise cancellation, and transparency mode.

The touch controls on the Airpods Pro are also easy to use and can be used to perform all the same actions as the Beats Fit Pro.

App Controls

When it comes to App Controls, the Airpods Pro lack a little behind. This is because they only allow users to change their settings if the Airpods are connected to an iPhone. If you own an android phone, then you are unfortunately out of luck with the Airpods.

The Beats on the other hand allow great customization for android phones with their amazing app. Both Androids and IOS users can download this app and customize their Beats earphones any way they like. The app’s theme also varies depending on the color of your Beats earphones. For example, if you have the red earphones, then your app’s theme color will also be red.

Battery Life

The battery life of the Beats Fit Pro is rated at six hours with Active Noise Cancellation turned on, and seven hours when it’s turned off. These earbuds can be used for an extra twenty-hour when the case is fully charged.

The battery life on the AirPods Pro lasts for six hours, with an extra thirty hour backup in the carrying case.
