My XM3's were only lasting about 90 minutes on a full charge with ANC = On. After watching Central Sound's tutorial on battery replacement, I ordered the new batteries from them and made a go of it. The video was very helpful on the several steps involved, none too difficult. Separating the case was the biggest challenge, but a guitar pick + thumbnail did the trick - just go slow, be patient to release all the tabs. The Phillips screws to my pair were affixed very firmly, so use care here as well.
My batteries from CS arrived as pictured, meaning they didn't include contact clips - so be sure to carefully lift them along with the sticky tape from the old batteries so both clips can be reused for the replacement. Reassemble, reset both buds, and good to go! Now these fine Sony earbuds are running down to only 70% after 2+ hours. Thank you Central Sound!
