CentralSound USA Replacement Ear Pad Cushions for Apple AirPods Max Headphones

High quality, very comfortable material, much prefer them to the Apple Ear Pads.

Was hoping these would be softer like the Sony ear cushions. The Apple ones push hard on my glasses frames behind the ear. Gives me a headache. The pics here made me think the padding was softer. But no.

These pads are good.

They are of little to no use for me. After testing them out on a range of music and volume levels and testing them against the OEM Apple Ear Pad Cushions at all the same settings, I’ve determined that the sound quality is compromised. It sounds like my head is in a drum but they do enhance the noise canceling effect and are quite soft. But that’s all useless without top quality sound! Very disappointing but I should not have been surprised given the price difference.

I bought these to replace the stock Apple ear cups, due to severe ear rashes. It works great and there is no more rash, but the sound quality suffers a little bit.

Folks— I don’t typical write reviews. I mean after all, why should you, a stranger, trust my opinion? But this product deserves to be talked about— here’s why. I finally splurged and bought a pair of AirPods Max after years of eyeballing them. My AirPods Pro finally gave out this year and seeing how I use headphones daily at my office job, I thought I’d invest. Unfortunately for me, I realized from the first second of dawning the headphones, they were uncomfortable and the cushions didn’t properly fit my ears. Suffice it to say, I was dismayed— so much so I planned to return the product. Thankfully, I did my research and stumbled upon this product. The cushions are thicker, allowing for a tighter fit on my head, keeping the noise cancellation constant rather than spotty when I moved my head like the OEM cushions. Further, these are a leatherette material which is moisture wicking and doesn’t get discolored or smell. Not to mention, they’re cheaper than Apple replacements. My last real point is again about noise cancellation— I’ve read quite a few reviews about issues with the noise cancellation while not using OEM cushions. So far I haven’t encountered this in my use, which is exclusively on noise cancellation mode. Now I live in Oklahoma, and it’s quite windy. On walks I can still hear some wind noise, but I think that’s to be expected. In the office, where it counts to me, I’ve had nothing but good experiences. These cushions also make my 6+ hours of wear a day feel like nothing at all. Overall, without these guys I would have returned my AirPods and moved on. CentralSound has good prices, fast shipping and they included a handwritten thank you note in the box (not a pro or con, but speaks to the excellent customer service I encountered during the entire experience). Thanks guys, I appreciate the dedication to quality products.

Flimsy plastic, sticky cushions, makes a hissing sound on head phones.

If you want a cheaper spare pair of ear cups that are good quality I would go with these. They actually feel higher quality than the originals if you squeeze them and are thicker.

Love the new AirPod Max Ear pads and loved buying from a small business! I even received a hand written note thanking me for the order which is super rare now-a-days.
I was getting an itching feel with the original ear cups after just 30min of wear and tried to push through it thinking I had no option. So glad Google showed these ear pads. I now wear them at work for 4 or more hours a day now without that itchy discomfort.

I bought these cushions to save the AirPods Max original equipment and to have another color.The cushions are well made and fit the AirPods perfectly and do not interfere with the operation of the AirPods. They fit the ears good and are comfortable.The cushions work very well with the noise cancellation.The cushions will probably get warm with activities and when you sweat, but you can just wipe them off.The AirPods original cushions would just soak up the sweat.Very good business and product and I would buy from them again.

One thing I never liked about the Apple stock ear pads is how they feel. It feels like an almost mesh product that is grating your ears. I have despised these from the first time that I wore them and it was not until a few months after ownership did the light bulb go on. I searched and found someone recommending these and boy were they correct. The seal for me was much better with these over the Apple stock pads. Also, Apple charges $69, nice, for their replacements. Freeking insane. These are a fraction of the cost and much better IMO. Hard to tell them from stock.

Would 100% buy again.

For me the apple cups were good for a while but I have sensitive dry skin. Eventually they will start to scratch and just be uncomfortable to wear. I've worn these all day for several days and have had 0 issues! Thanks for making this guy's :)

The original earpads that came with my Airpods Max smelled like model cement which gave me a massive headache. They finally lost the smell but continued to be a bit rough on my ears due to the coarseness of the material. Once they got dirty they never looked clean even after following the instructions to clean them at Apple. These ones from CentralSound USA don't smell, have a nicer covering, better feel, and sound isolation. No idea yet how they will hold up in terms of cleaning (they are new) so I will likely a set of black pads as well. Overall a much better solution overall and I highly recommend them.

I bought these because I didn’t like the scratchy, open-weave fabric that comes with the AirPods Max. These are good and have a nice soft leather feel, but that’s have NO ventilation holes, making them seal to your ear (great for short, intense listening), but they get get hot & sweaty after awhile.

Love it. Just as the originals or even may be better.

I ordered the “red” and it's actually more of a fleshy pink, kind of off-putting tbh. The material feels great and they’re actually more comfortable than the stock pads, I just wish I’d ordered them in blue or black.

These replacement ear cups were a great buy. I highly recommend them

The original ones got yellow due to sweat and start to irritate my skin around my ears. These ones seems even more insulate noises and I did not notice the moisture drops that are every time appear with the original cushions. The hold shape better as well. Depends on the local postal service, it may take a while to arrive to the continent when slower delivery option is selected, but wait is worth it.

These are almost identical in appearance to the originals and are also well built. I like both the originals and the central sound replacements for different reasons and wear them at different times. I would not hesitate to buy again.

Stock apple pads hurts after a while. These are more pillowy, but their wipe-ability also means not as great for sweat.

I, too, had an allergic reaction to the material Apple used on the Airpod Max. Have been using the CentralSound replacements for a couple of weeks, and they are definitely an upgrade. Comfortable and softer texture. Visually, you can't tell the difference.

These cushions are so comfortable. They are soft and plush. They improve the already fantastic noise cancelation of the AirPods Max. I would like to see some richer more saturated colors in addition to these ones, like a jet black color would be awesome. But that’s not a big deal when you get something of this quality.

So much more comfortable than the OEM cushions, and they sound a lot better too. Everyone with APMs should try them.

I purchased these replacements because I am allergic to a material used in the Airpod Max cushions. These are super comfortable, fit just like the Apple branded ones fit, have a way nicer and smoother texture, and are super comfortable. No allergic reactions yet!! So glad I can still use these headphones.
