I purchased the two batteries from you after watching your video showing how the repair is done (https://youtu.be/2T7GVycXw_Q). In your video the narrator mentions a tab that is attached to the old battery as well as the same tab that, he says, comes with the new battery. Both batteries are shown having the same metal tab attached. When I received the new batteries there were no tabs attached. I removed the tab from the old battery and tried to attach it to the new battery with super glue. I reassembled the Sony wf-1000xm3 earbud but it was not operational. The repair was an obvious failure.

Two things worth clarifying for you and anyone else reading. First, the metal tab on the original battery is optional — the replacement batteries are designed to make contact without it, so no tab needed to be transferred at all. Second, super glue is an insulator. Once it's between the tab and the battery terminal, it blocks the electrical connection entirely, which is almost certainly why the earbud didn't power up after reassembly.

These worked perfectly to repair my Sony wf1000xm3s! A shockingly easy repair. The only tool I needed was a jewelers screwdriver, I was able to open the casings with just my finger nails. You may want a pick though if you're not used to using your nails.
At first it was hard for my Sony headphones to calibrate the batteries but it is already working well finally they reach 5 hours of use with noise cancellation

One of my WH-1000XM3 earbud was only lasting 20min on a full charge. Took a full month to be delivered, but this fixed it after a relatively easy installation process! Curious to see how the capacity will hold in the long run.

Had been using my Sony earbuds for about 4 yrs, and the original battery performance had dropped considerably. Swapped the batteries with the Zeni Z55 and they’re as good as new. Fairly easy process!

I had a pair of Sony in ear headphones which never worked well since i bought them. Realized that i was the victim of Sonys design flaw and they wouldn’t do anything. I replaced the batteries in the earbuds and it brought them up to a good 4 hour time usage which was enough for me. I haven’t changed the battery in the case, that’s a little more complicated. Btw, earbud battery replacement for both took 15 minutes. Do yourself a favor and watch their video first. Excellent videos!
