Replacement pads for Bose A20

Although the pads were comfortable, they really reduce the Bose noise canceling ability because of their thickness I suppose. I had to turn my volume way up in order to hear the traffic control. I had to switch back to the normal Bose replacement ear pads in order to get the best noise canceling out of my headset. Also, the pads are really sort of generic for the Bose A10 and A20 headsets in that the replacement foam for the inside part did not fit at all.

Comfortable but not very functional

Very comfortable but I use these in a relatively quiet jet cockpit where I have to turn the volume up twice as loud as I did with original Bose ear pads to hear at normal levels. They’re too thick and don’t allow the Bose noise canceling to work as designed. No real difference with noise cancelling on or off. Internal ear cup speakers are too far away from your ears. In louder piston aircraft I fly I can’t turn radio volume up loud enough to reliably hear all radio calls.

Soft and comfortable but allows noise

Very soft and comfortable on the ears and to wear for long flights. But, I think with how wide the pads are, it allows noise to enter and counteract the ANR of my headset. The less thick Bose OEM pads

Works on Bose A30 and solved allergy issue

The replacement ear pads fit the new A30s perfectly. Note, the inner cover does need to be cut to fit the A30, but this took 30 seconds. They look and feel great!

Also, these solved an allergy problem I had with the original Bose ear pads. The pads that came from the factory would cause my ears to become very red, itchy and sore after use. These new pads thankfully solved that issue!

A world of difference!!!

I have a unique situation with my A20 headset as it is mounted in a flight helmet. I’ve been having issues with squealing and buffeting which became unmanageable despite any type of correction. These are not only more comfortable than the replaced OEM cups but they do a way better job of making a good seals which helps the ANR. Highly recommend!

Work Perfectly

Unfortunately, I have two things against me when wearing my Bose headphones in my airplane. I wear prescription glasses and hearing aids. Although I bought OEM replacement ear pads - I couldn’t get a sealed fit. These Central Sound ear pads work perfectly. “Problem Solved. “ Thank You Central Sound, I’ve already been spreading the good word!!!!
