Only time will tell how these hold up to frequent long term use. But I opted for these as a oem replacement for my 1000xm4's over cheaper more generic looking alternatives from the jungle site and these so far have worked as good as the OEM's for new battery life span. The cost isn't bad compared to a new set of earbuds and while it's a process To split the buds, remove the batteries and replace them, reassembling the earbuds. It's worth it if you can follow a guide and have a little know how to prevent what was a premium pair of earbuds from becoming A-waste from batteries no longer able to maintain charge for more than a couple hours.

Battery seems to perform like the original. This is the second time I replaced the batteries of my earbuds since owning them. The original batteries that came with my xm4's lasted about a year and a half before needing replacement, same with the replacement batteries I purchased overseas. Back then, it was hard finding z55h batteries. Hopefully these batteries last as long if not longer.

These batteries will work perfect for the Sony WF1000xm4 replacements. Because of the Sony defect, my left earbud charged only to 80% and my right only charged to 50%. They would die quickly. After replacing my batteries with these, the headphones now charge to 100% and have yet to die on me.

The batteries were perfect for my Sony earbuds. Fairly easy installation, so glad I did this to restore them to new functionality.

I replaced the batteries in my XM3s. A very positive note is that the batteries fit perfectly. The video guide with the batteries provided by Central Sound helped a great deal.
WhenIremoved the old batteries there was an adhesive that assisted in keeping the contact plate attached to the battery. The video also showed matching clips that were not present in my headphones or on the batteries.
Small safety tip I'd also like to mention is that the batteries heated up quickly while I was handling them.
Over all the batteries improved the sound quality, they charge in the case with no issues, and the duration per charge is longer than when they were new.

Both my buds were having issues holding a charge. Swapped them out following the instructional video. However, it is possible to do without disconnecting the modules within. Work it nice and slow and make sure not to damage the battery tab.

My Sony WF-1000XM4 had basically no battery life as Sony pushed a faulty software update a few years ago that destroyed the batteries of my earbuds.

Now I am using these replacement batteries for a few months and the battery life is still very good. (Sony also finally figured out its software). It is definitely worth fixing WF-1000XM4 earbuds.

I was able to install the case battery but not without a lot of fiddling. The main problem was the super strong magnets that jumped out of place and sticking together on the motherboard. This made it impossible to reassemble the internal case parts. I then discovered that leaving the earbuds in place keeps the magnets secure because the magnets are there to keep the earbuds connected to the charging points. Unfortunately, before making this discovery I broke one of the copper wires and has to resolder it. In addition, I had trouble with the battery wires because I followed the tutorial exactly placing the battery ( observing the battery markings) in the same orientation as shown in the tutorial. This resulted in a poor fit for the wires and plug. My recommendation to the seller is to add detail to the tutorial explaining the magnet issue and that perhaps the battery can be placed in a position that properly situates the wires and connector. My case is now in the trash as it never got the earbuds charged and the charge indicator light failed to function. I believe the batteries for the case and earbuds are okay replacements but the installation tutorial could use some improvement.

Though these batteries are intended for the Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds, they also fit inside the XM3 model. That's what I bought these for, since I read online that they are both compatible and have a higher charge capacity than the Vartas the XM3s come with by default.

The left earbud of my XM3s in particular needed a new battery since the old one didn't last as long as as it used to.

I haven't stress tested the batteries, so I don't know whether they truly last longer. I also don't know if there are any long term downsides.

The batteries do work, however, and I've had no issues with them so far. They're the same size, so any installation tutorial for replacing the batteries should suffice.

As for delivery, the two I ordered seemed packaged decently enough. They came individually boxed and wrapped inside thin, small plastic bags.

Items were sent quickly and accurately. The best part of the whole transaction was the great video showing how to change XM4 ear bud batteries. They were already exchanged by Sony under warranty and the new ones they sent lasted 3 weeks before right bud would not last more than a minute before dieing

This was the 2nd time I was changing batteries in my Sony WF-1000MX4’s
(Sony has battery problem) Everything was going fine until a very small plastic piece fell out of outside charging area. This stopped the one earbud from being able to be charged! Not able to find miniature piece my ear buds are now worthless.they do not sell a replacement bud!
So, I was forced to purchase a new set of buds WF-1000MX5’s

Able to fully charge, no problem. Last a lot longer than the previous original battery.

Neither battery worked but I have a feeling it was all my fault and I messed something up.

These batteries are working great in my earbuds and have renewed them so the battery life is just as long as when they were new 2 years ago when I bought my buds. Install went smoothly thanks to the video they provide and it was easier than I thought it would be. I just had to buy the glue to complete the job and voila, earbuds work like new! Definitely will visit these guys again when I need some more batteries.

Excellent. Good part price and reasonable shipping cost on Sony WF-1000XM4 batteries.

Overall satisfied with the result, replaced batteries for each ear bud, went from 20min of playtime to something much more, haven't even drained them fully yet after a day of use. Shipping was a bit slow (3 weeks) but other than that, its a thumbs up from me.

Sony Wf-1000XM4 headphone battery life is much improved since replacing the original batteries with this replacement. Unfortunately not a very simple process to change batteries.
