The location of your serial number depends on the type of Bose headphones you have. Here's where to look for each style:
In-Ear Earbuds
The 4-digit code is printed directly on the earbud body. If you can't find it, try removing the silicone tip — the code is sometimes underneath.
Around-Ear Headphones
Look inside the earcup. You may need to gently lift the inner fabric padding slightly to reveal the serial number beneath.
On-Ear Headphones
Check the headband for a 4-digit code. If you can't find it there, remove the cushion to reveal a 17-digit code underneath, or open the battery compartment and look inside.
Aviation Headsets
The 17-digit code is located on the headband underneath the cushion padding.
Bluetooth Headsets
The 4-digit code is printed on the back of the headset, near the charging port.
Step 2: Enter Your Serial Number on Bose's Website
Once you have your serial number, head to the Official Bose Product Registration page and enter it in the text box. This will display your exact model name and optionally register your product.

Dear Central Sound
I have a Bose X 10 aviation headset and I need the small metal part that helps to secure the ear cup to the headset. It’s held on by two screws. Can I buy this separate is it’s the only part I need. Did use another headset kit to repair a second set and it worked great. Thanks
