Turns out battery was not the problem. Have ordered new charging power board to hopefully solve the problem
Battery was fine on delivery so no problem with CentralSound. Unfortunately it still wouldn't charge so I replaced the charging port and I had mono for a while wired but now I have nothing at all so it's ongoing. Almost certainly my fault.
Changing the battery in my Sony WH-1000XM4 was easy while watching YouTube video. I did a shortcut on the temp sensor by peeling off tape/sensor and unplugging temp sensor connector.
Parts arrived quickly from the US and included instructions how to install them. It was easy to follow and the headphones work fine after the repair. They do maybe sound a bit more muffled than before, but that could be because I was a bit clumsy while executing the repair.
I'm pretty damn sure my ~5 year old original battery was lasting longer, will probably swap back to it.

I battery is terrible . I installed it got one charge out of it and now it doesn't even take a charge at all. My daughter is quite upset as these headphones are her favorite set of headphones and now they dont work.
I replaced it today after having it ordered maybe already a year ago. Now it shows “sold out”. Hope you guys are still in business and be there when I order next time in 2-3 years :)

My headphones suddenly stopped charging and I wasn’t sure what the issue was but after watching several YouTube videos I decided to buy a new battery with this company. It arrived quickly and thankfully it was exactly what I needed.
2 months since orderd. It's pretty easy to install and has had no issues since installation.
Battery works great. I replace it using iFixIt's repair guide and dlmy headphones can hold a charge much longer now.
